Currency Traveler ("the App") is a currency conversion tool that operates with minimal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App does and does not collect when you use it on iOS or the web.

              We believe the best privacy policy is one that barely needs to exist. Currency Traveler
              is designed to work with the minimum data necessary — which, in most cases, is none at all.

Currency Traveler does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information
Location data or GPS coordinates
Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints
Usage analytics, session recordings, or behavioral data
Cookies, pixels, or any form of cross-site tracking
Financial data, bank details, or transaction records

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores a small amount of data locally on your device using your browser's or app's local storage. This data never leaves your device:

Selected currencies — the list of currencies you've chosen to display (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP), so your preferences are remembered between sessions.
Cached exchange rates — the most recently fetched rates and their timestamp, so the app works offline and avoids unnecessary network requests.

You can clear this data at any time by resetting the app to defaults using the reset button, or by clearing your browser's local storage.

Network Requests

The App makes network requests solely to fetch current exchange rates from third-party API providers:

ExchangeRate-API (exchangerate-api.com) — primary data source
Open Exchange Rates API (open.er-api.com) — fallback data source

These requests contain no user-identifying information. The App requests rates for USD-based conversions only; no personal data is included in the request. These third-party services have their own privacy policies which govern their handling of incoming requests.

Children's Privacy

Currency Traveler does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for use by people of all ages.
